Privacy Policy

1. Data stored on your device

Your habits, check-ins, notes, streaks, and settings are stored locally on your device in a local database. This data stays on your device unless you enable Cloud Sync.

Photos you attach to check-ins are stored on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

2. Account data

Growbit works without an account. If you choose to create one, we store the email address you register with to authenticate you and, when you use Cloud Sync, to associate your synced data with your account.

3. Cloud Sync (Premium)

If you use Cloud Sync, your habit data (habits, check-ins, streaks) is synced to Google Firebase Firestore under your account. Access is restricted by security rules so that only you can read and write your data. Sync is off unless you explicitly use it.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. We receive information about your purchase status (for example, whether Premium is active) so we can unlock features. We never see or store your payment card details.

5. Analytics and crash reports

We use Firebase Analytics to understand anonymous, aggregate usage — for example, how often the app is opened, whether a paywall was viewed, and that a habit was checked in (attributed to a habit template, not your personal notes). We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports so we can fix bugs; these include technical information about the device and the error.

On Android, Firebase Analytics may read your device's advertising ID (and on iOS, only if you allow tracking) to measure installs and usage. We don't show ads today and we don't sell your data. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads).

6. Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification content is sent from our servers.

7. Data deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app: Settings → Delete account. This permanently erases your cloud data and account (if you have one) and clears the data on your device.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it separately in the App Store or Google Play.

8. Children

Growbit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
